Hon. FRSL (Yoruba: Akínwándé Olúwọlé Babátúndé Ṣóyíinká; born 13 July 1934), known as Wole Soyinka, is a Nigerian playwright, novelist, poet, and essayist in the English language, Soyinka was born into a Yoruba family in Abeokuta.
