He came to prominence subsequent to the release of his singles “Sengizwilwe” and “Uzozisola”, of which the latter was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). In 2019, Mas Musiq won the Best Amapiano Album at the South African Music Awards for his album ‘Mambisa’. He has also earned several nominations over the years including Best Dance Album at the Metro FM Music Awards and Best Newcomer at the African Muzik Magazine Awards.
