Rabah Ourrad left his hometown of Algiers at the age of 21 for Paris, leading a successful Algerian rap group, considered one of the pioneers of North African hip-hop, which has gave a voice to Algerian youth at the turn of the century. After being signed by Universal and touring the world as a performer, he decided to take advantage of his presence in France to deepen two important elements of their national identity, literature and cuisine.
Wormwood restaurant was created from scratch and opened as a casual fine dinning concept in May 2014. Chef/Owner and Operational Director, responsible of recruitment (floor and Kitchen), training, menu development and marketing strategies, Rabah had led up to 14 motivated youngsters from all nationalities to a quick consecration.
