Abubakar Adam Ibrahim

Biography

Born in 1979, Author Abubakar Adam Ibrahim has been named in the Hay Festival Africa 39 list of the most promising writers in Sub-Saharan Africa under the age of 40. A graduate of Mass Communications from the University of Jos, Abubakar is also a Gabriel Garcia Marquez Fellow and a Civitella Ranieri Fellow. He was shortlisted for the Caine Prize in 2013 on the strength of his short story “The Whispering Trees”. “Season of Crimson Blossoms” is his first novel.
